Bottle at home. One year old bottle. Pours a hazy reddish brown colour with a small ivory head. Aroma of dried fruit, oak, heather, licorice, bread, nuts and a good dose of caramel. The flavour is also quite malty but still sweet with caramel, toasted bread and dried fruits being the most dominant. Grassy hops in the background. Has a slick and silky mouth feel, medium body and a light bitterness. A malty, sweet and well-balanced old ale. Delicious and easy-drinking.

Flaske 330ml fra Vinmonopolet, Tromsø Sentrum. Mørkebrun. Litt uklar. Lavt skum som daler fort. God søt maltaroma med antydning til frukt. Smaken på den søte siden. Ulike frukt & bær. Blir litt tørr etter hvert. Veldig uklar siste kvelling. Sedimenter igjen på flaska.

Kristiansand Øl Festival 2014. Dark amber colour wih a beige head. Aroma is dried fruits, malt, alcohol. Flavour is dried fruits, malt, hop, caramel, alcohol, nuts. OK beer.

Bottle 330ml. [ As Balder Gammal-Ole (Old Ale) ].[ Trade by The Norway Crew ]. Clear medium amber orange color with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, sweet malt. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, sweet malt, caramel, fruity - wood - dried fruit notes,. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. Bottle @ Højbjerg juletasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is hazy amber. Aroma and taste are fruits, caramel, toffee, malt and hops. Sweet and fruity.
