330ml bottle picked up at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Dense, fawn-coloured head. Slightly cloudy brownish body. Lacing rings. Rather restrained malt-fruity aroma, including nuts, caramel and plums. Mouth filling taste of dark apricot and plums joined by honey, caramel and a touch of forest. Bittersweet dried fruity finish. Medium bodied. Soft on the swallow. Pleasing (Tromsø 14.11.2014).

330 ml bottle @ Victoria Pub. Unclear amber body with a small tan head. Aroma of malt, caramel, dry fruit and hint of bread. Flavor is sweet, smooth malt, caramel, dry fruit, hint of bread and nuts and some bitterness. Fine body and decent aftertaste. Sweet, smooth and with more fruit, bitterness and complexity than most of the other Balder beers. Enjoyable.

Sample at Bergen Ølfestival 2014. Brownish with a small head. Malt, caramel, some fruit and some chocolate. Some sweetness in the finish. The body was medium as was the carbonation. An ok one.

330 ml bottle, will soon be available at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.0%. Reddish brown colour, moderate to low off-white head. Aroma of caramel and dust. Medium sweet and malty flavour, caramel notes, but not cloying. Hints of nuts and brown bread. Minimal hops, but still very pleasant to drink, with all its maltiness. Might well have another one.

Bottle. A slightly hazy one, dark amber in color and with a small, dense, beige head. The aroma has some dried fruits, a hint of anise, bread, toffee, alcohol and some roasted notes. It’s lightly sweet on the palate, with toffee, dark dried fruits, some blue plums and a little tobacco touch. It’s a bit thin on the palate, with a soft carbonation. Lasting caramel and dark fruit finish with a decent bitterness. Overall, sure nice, but it’s a bit thiin I think. Looking forward to see this in the Vinmonopolet stores. 140617
