This ale is brewed at Klackabacken in Önnestad from water, pilsner and carapils malt and then boiled with cascade hops and spruce shoots before it's fermented with Saison yeast. Because the Ale is unfiltered it might be a bit turbid but it will get clear if kept upright in the fridge for a couple of days. Keep dark and cool.

(Bottle) Hazy golden yellow colour with brief, bubbly, white head. Fruity, herbal nose with pineapple, lemon peel, honey, white bread, a touch of elderflower and fresh spruce shoots. Fruity, spicy taste with notes of elderflower, honey, white bread, lemon, spruce needles and a mild herbal bitterness. Light body, mainly dry. Interesting, with herbal hints of spruce and elderflower. Quite nice.

Many thanks to djoeye for a 330ml bottle. Shared with Finn. Warm golden body, stable rocky white head. Spotty lacing. Dried fruity smell, hints of spices. Mixed taste of apricot, spruce, and clove. Moderate malt-fruit bitterness to the ending. Medium bodied. Pretty nice (Tromsø 31.01.2018).

Flaske 330ml spandert av Rune. Delt med ham i WCveien 31 Jan 18. Gylden. Litt uklar. Høyt tett skum. Aroma av skog. Smaken søtt krydder. Blir veldig tørr etter hvert.

Bottle BBE 31.7.2017. Label says that it's brewed at Klackabacken Bryggeri, not Eskilstuna. Smell of straw, some yeast. Cloudy yellow colour, white head. Aroma of alcohol, hops, grass, barbed spruceness, straw and yeast. Behind everything, a regular, decent saison. Mostly sweet. Heavy body., half flat carbon.

Bottle, 5.6%. Fruity and mildly citric aroma. Cloudy yellow colour. Small stable white head. The flavour is malty. Late juniper note, does not seem to be added, so perhaps from the spruce. Quite high carbonation. Well-balanced.

Hazy yellow, airy white head. Sparkling... Malty, slightly yeasty aroma. And spruce?. Sweetish, spicy and yeasty flavour. Light clove and coriander. Fluffy mouthfeel. Nice.

Bottle. Pours hazy straw with airy but stable white head. Clear aroma of hops and citrus, mwith estery and malty notes and touches of fruit. Bitter and citric flavour, with malty and estery notes and touches of something resembling juniper - spruce? High carbonation and estery and bitterish aftertaste. Decent.

Pours whitish yellow, some foam. Aroma is not so exciting, feels like a premium lager. Malty, some wet cardboard and just a bit of spruce resin. Taste is easy, feels now like a saison, has some bitterness. Mouth gets coated inside with a layer of resins and this bitter resiny spruce thing keeps lingering for a while after that.

Very funky nose lots of yeasty, spruce and Vic’s vapour rub. Very effervescent and my mouth feels so refreshing. Almost like a breath freshener. Very interesting. Lots of spruce in the finish.
