Taster pour at NH Brewfest. Appearance is dark brown, fizzy, foamy beige head. Aroma is strong coffee. Taste is just coffee, a little to the bitter side and slightly tart. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with smooth, thin texture, soft carbonation and bittersweet coffee finish. Overall, considering this is only 3.9% ABV (essentially a Session Porter if there were such a thing), there is strong flavor here--quite an achievement. That said, it doesn't compare to a fuller bodied, higher ABV porter and the coffee is too dominant. But, if you really wanted a porter and wanted to stay mentally fresh, this is a good option.

Nitro sample at the source. Deep brown in color fairly clear tight tan head. Rich coffee aroma and flavor against the chocolate and fruity underneath. Really great session beer!
