Warm yourself against the icy blast with this delisiouc, rich, festive stout. Flavoured with a hint of real Madagascar vanilla pods and English hops, Black Santa is fermented with a Belgian yeast strain which imparts a surprisingly easy drinking nature to the beer as well as some fruity top notes to complement the vanilla. Enjoy with cold turkey, mince pies, fruitcake, Wensleydale and presents.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Clear, ruby red. Thin, bubbly, tan head. Milk chocolate malt. Cocoa nibs. Light coffee grinds. Some sweetness, although Iโm not getting any vanilla. At the end, thereโs some fruity tartness. Taste is light sweet. Turns dry. Ends soft bitter. Smooth, lightly chewy palate. Quite creamy. Finishes dry, and gentle bitter.

330ml bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours dark brown, thick beige head. Big coffee aromas, light vanilla, dark stone fruits. Taste is more coffee bitterness, touch of sweetness on the finish. Pretty good.
