Tap source. Let me say that I am no fan of high alky beers and too often the domestic quad comes across like a rude american barley wine or even a really strong american ale. This is not. It is rather civilized, like the old country. A belgian ale with plums I’m told. Brownish. Sweet smell. Difficult first impression of almost cloying but never quite gets there. Does not seem like 12%. There is a warming sensation,l so I know its quite high in alky, its just you wouldn’t know it. Yes, this is not quite as volatile, nor high alky as you would think, be careful, it will give you a good kick in the knoggin.
