Bottle @ America Strikes Back, Ulfborg. Pours cloudy very dark brown with airy light tan head. Clear aroma of malt, caramel and roasted coffee. Sweetish, malty taste, with notes of roasted coffee beans and touches of liquorice. Sourish and bitetr aftertaste. OK but nothing revolutionary.

Flaske 0,33l. Gave fra Rune. Drukket i Skibotn 17 Apr 14. Så vidt gjennomskinnelig med en dyp rødfarge. Egentlig svart. Pent mokkafarget skum som varer en god stund. Teppelacing. Bra aroma av melkesjokolade. Smaken litt tynn & metallisk. Hint av kaffe & lakris.

330ml bottle from Vinmonopolet Bestillingsutvalget (via Langnes). Firm fawn-coloured head slowly diminishing over a near jet black body. Lancing rings down the glass. Gentle aromas of cocoa and dark chocolate. Rather well balanced taste profile of grainy chocolate, dark fruits, grass and salty liquorice, followed by a roasted bitter finish. Medium bodied. Oily palate. Likable (Tromsø 04.04.2014).

On tap at Pingvinen, Bergen. The colour is deep brown to black with a beige creamy medium head. Roasted aroma with dark chocolate, rye and coffee. The flavour is not far away with the addition of licorice. Has a oily and smooth mouth feel, and a light bitterness. A bit faint aroma but a solid and balanced porter.
