D’un bel orange ambré, la MacTavish s’écoule inéluctablement du verre laissant comme unique trace une belle dentelle de Bruges. Alors que quelques bulles s’échappent du liquide, des effluves de houblon vert, de terre ancestrale et d’épices se mélangent aux traditionnels parfums de noisette et de caramel des ales anglaises. En bouche, fraîcheur et acidité s’accordent aux saveurs maltées de biscuit et de caramel. Le houblon laisse alors une bonne amertume et ne confère sa verdure qu’en rétro-olfaction. La finale est sèche, subite et totalement désaltérante.

Kveldens andre fra planke på Le Trou du Diable krankupp på Cirkus (Stavanger) sep-16: klar oransjegylden med fint skum som varer. Alle de fire pale ales jeg smakte hadde noen fellestrekk: en nærmest cremet munnfølelse, balanserte smaksinntrykk og myk, behagelig avslutning. Så variasjonene lå i humleprofilene. Deilige øl alle fire, dog uten å være minneverdie. Denne var preget av fersken, furunål, fiken, fløtekarameller og grapefrukt i deilig kombinasjon.

Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet grassy, leafs, sap, caramel, hay, minerals, wet grass, light malts, hops, toffee, hints of old citrus peel. Taste is slightly dry grassy, weeds, minerals, leafs, bark, hay, light malts, sap, paper, caramel. Medium bitterness, slightly dry and mineraly mouthfeel. Fair enough.

Draft - Nice grapefruit citrus and light grain. Clear gold with a decent white head. Peel and pith with a nice light balanced finish. Decent.

flaska från Saveur-bier. Som vanligt för Trou du Diable en riktigt snygg etikett. Fin arom av främst tropisk frukt och citruszest. Mjuk och len kropp som skapar riktigt bra balans. Relativt torr, massor av citrusskal, måttlig beska, fin lång eftersmak. Skulle vilja kalla det här för en riktigt bra östkust-APA. Gott.

Smak och doft av humle, mango, aprikos, persika, jord, gräs, grapefrukt, örter, granskott och tall. Torr, lagom söt, fina aromer i bra balans,beska med smak av grapefrukt och citrusskal.

Bonito color dorado, turbia. Bonita espuma que deja siempre una capa presente. Aroma muy floral, pino, cítricos... típico del estilo. En boca medio gas y buen balance. Base de caramelo y continuación de los aromas. Transición hacia un final seco. Muy bebible. Muy agradable.

Leicht trübes goldenes Bier mit ordentlicher weißer Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr fruchtig, hopfig, Ingwer. Geschmack sehr hopfig, leicht bitter, viel Aprikose, etwas Ingwer, gering bitter.

Bottle 600ml. @ home on the terrace. [ As Le Trou du Diable Mactavish In Memoriam ].Clear medium golden yellow orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, pale malt, moderate hoppy, fruity, herbs, old hops, light earthy hops. Flavour is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a long duration, herbs, hops, old hops, fruity. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20140711]
