Botella, @3º Cata Ratebeer Asturias.. 26/10/2015. BBD:20/10/15 Color ámbar, aroma frutal, resinoso, sabor frutal, cuerpo alto.

12fl.oz. bottle. Pours a hazy copper with a medium, frothy, long lasting, beige head that laces. Hoppy, grapefruit aroma with caramel malt and grass. Sweet fruity flavour with grapefruit, caramel malt, grass, pine and resin with a hint of rye in a dry, bitter finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Well brewed and delicious.

Bottle. Dark copper color. Aroma of bitter pine, rye malt and caramel. Taste has caramelly pine, dry grassy bitters and malt. Hoppy bitter finish. Good stuff.

Bottle at home. Red pour almost no head. Nose is piney, some earth, and dark fruits. Tastes of cherry, pine, caramel, earth, some rye without over doing it, malty, some grapefruit rind. Big chewy palate. Not too sweet or bitter. Red fruits on finish.

Refrigerated brown 12 oz. bottle, best before November 12, 2015, poured into a glass. Dark Crimson with small beige head. Aroma is rye, medium body, medium carbonation, and some small-bubble lacing. Taste is rye, grassy hops, pine hops, dank, and bitter finish. Pretty heavy and not my kind of IIPA.

Deep amber-orange with cherry-auburn tints and a light beige head that is full and fluffy, slowly receding to cover. High clarity, fairly well-filtered, their beers seem to be nowadays and certainly not bottle conditioned (if they ever were?).
Nonetheless, it’s got a deep, lush hop nose, with some slightly aggressive resin and a pinch of alcohol. Tons of fruitiness and almost a wintergreen-like note, with vanilla, cherry and light toffee emanating from the malts and providing a pretty good balance. I think the mosaic and amarillo really go along way for it not being overdone and while the Colombus still impart some pine and grapefruit, it’s pleasant enough, if a bit challenging.
The flavor is sweet, well-malted with cherry, vanilla, rye spiciness and again, full, lush, juicy citrus and pine, with some pineapple and a light woodiness that gives a little more subtle, enjoyable, unique flavor to the finish. Green Flash makes well-executed beers and even if a 9% rye DIPA is not in my wheelhouse, I can still respect it (and I did finish the whole beer fairly easily).

Bottle split at GBBF ’15, day 1, 11/08/15. Amber golden with a decent beige covering. Nose is caramel malt, pine, earthy hops, grapefruit, citric pith. Taste comprises pine needle, caramel malt, mango, grapefruit, juicy hops. Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, semi aggressive hop bitterness in the close. Solid DIPA.

Bottle shared at GBBF 2015, day 1 - London. Cheers! Pours clear orange-copper with a frothy off-white head. Dank hop aroma, some ripe citrus, caramel, bread, pine. Medium sweet flavor, moderately boozy, with notes of ripe orange and oily, gooey pine. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish, warming and resinous, with rich bread and more orange. Good stuff overall, if fairly punchy.
