Väriltään lähes musta pintahiivaolut, joka on maultaan paahtunut ja kahvimaisen kuiva, mutta samalla kevyt ja helposti juotava irlantilaistyylinen stout

330ml bottle from K-Citymarket Sello

Pours dark brown, almost black with a bubbly head. Aroma of cocoa, oatmeal, roasted malts, hay and grass. Taste is smooth, watery and mildly roasty with some hints of cocoa and oatmeal. Finish is watery, dry and slightly roasty with mild cocoa and oatmeal notes. Okay, quite easygoing stout.

Bottle at the Brewpub. Poured a deep mahogany with a thin light tan head and some broken lace. The aroma is creamy caramel malt, coffee. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with a smooth malt hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A very good stout indeed. Loved the hoppy notes in the palate which gives it something else that you don’t get from the mass producers.

Bottled@HBF2014. Black colour, small white head. Aroma is roasted malts, some toasted and nutty notes along with some earthy notes. lavour is toasted malts, some liquorice, mild roast and ashes. Actually this one is more of a porter than a stout. Still quite a pleasant brew though!

Bottle @ home thanks to Hermod [Euro Swap 5]. Opaque very dark brown to black color, medium sized beige head that leaves fair lacing. Aroma is malts, lightly roasty, dark malts, lightly earthy, caramel. Taste malts, roast, slightly a hint of coffee, lightly caramel, nicely bitter, lightly earthy and indeed dry. Medium body and carbonation. Very nice beer imo.

A colabrown beer with a weak and light beige head. The nose is bready, roasted, some coffee. Taste is quite dry, lots of coffee, roastiness, some bitterness in the end. Quite light to drink, also quite smooth. Good quality beer but not very interesting.

Bottle 330ml (K-Kamppi)
Dark brown color, tiny off-white head. Aroma has coffee and dry toastyness. Light to medium-bodied. Toasted, soft palate, quite dry. Some coffee (and coffee acidity). Very pleasant and balanced, just shouts a bit more ABV.

Tap@brewery. Near black, lasting brown head. Cocoa, roasted malt, lactose sweetness on aroma. Taste has roasted malt, chocolate, sweetness and cocoa. Dry finish thin body, but overall a good beer for this abv.
