Draft at GABF. Pours dark brown with off white head. Nose and taste of roast chocolate, toasted coconut and light coffee. Medium body.

A deep dark stout with a thin brown head. In aroma, sweet coffee with milk, pungent character like a high quality coffee, sweet character, nice. In mouth, a well balanced mix of chocolate, coffee, and vanilla, loads of coffee apparent, well made.

GABF 2012, October 12, Friday. Good coconut flavor and aroma. Full flavored and a thick palate. Sweet stout is a style I often do not care for, but this one is done right.

on tap-pours a light brown head and black color. Aroma is coconut/cocoa. Taste is ashy/coconut/cocoa, earthy hops bite.

Poured up on tap at the brewpub with deep dark body and thin tan head. This stuff smells great! I get fudge brownie, some soft dark roasted malts and coffee all mixing together harmoniously. The taste is sessionably thin but dead on for a Porter with rich dark roasted malts mixed with coffee and a pleasing level of fudge brownie goodness. Tasty brew.

Black color. Strong coconut aroma, covering the roasted malt, it reminds me the Batida liquor. Dry mouthfeel, roasted malt flavor, strong, with some coconut and chocolate. I find that adding coconut to the beer is a weird idea, but the result is drinkable.
