33cl bottle from ICA Maxi Erikslund, Västerås. Pours close to black with a modest, beige head. Mild roasty aroma with notes of dark fruits, wet grain and hints of wood. Moderate sweet with fairly mild flavours, light bitterness and a hint of acidity. Fair enough as folköl, but hardly memorable.

Shared bottle at campsite Bovikens Havsbad, Sweden. Pours black with brownish head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, sirup. Taste dry, with roasted notes, little sweetness, and a watery-bitter, roasted finish.

Dark ruby-amber color, small beige head. Sweet ryeish, mämmi aroma. Light-bodied. Light toasted flavor, ashy, cardboardish. Weak.

33 cl bottle @ oh6gdx. BBE 16.04.2015. Aroma has tobacco, licorice and toffee typical to English ales. Also sweet toffee candy. Flavour has tobacco, licorice and ash. Also cold coffee. Very nice for this ABV.

Bottled (from ICA Gourmet Renmarkstorget, Umeå). Deep colour, small mediumsized beige head. Aroma is toffee, floral,some ripe fruits and mild syrup. Flavour is fruity, syrup, some toffee and some earthy and mouldy notes.

Flaske 330ml fra ICA Kvantum Kiruna. Drukket i Skibotn 28 Mar 15. Kullsort. Middels høyt brukbart stabilt skum med litt farge. God kaffearoma. Smaken mer kaffe. Ikke for påtrengende. Behagelig lett-strout.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours black with a vague tint of orange and a small, beige head. Roasty nose, some vanilla. Light body, roast and some licorice but also a vague hint of cardboard. 270315

(Bottle, from ICA Hässelby Gård) Dark brown colour, almost black, with frothy beige head. Malty, roasted nose with coffee, dark chocolate, liquorice, dark bread and roasted grain. Malty, roasted taste with coffee, dark chocolate, liquorice, black rye bread and a generous roasty bitterness in the finish. Light body, quite dry. On the thin side, but really tasty and well made for its strength. Quite nice.

Bottle bought @ Ice Supermarket Majorna. Pours dark brown with a small beige head that doesn’t leave much trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is slightly malty with toasted malts, dark bread, crispbread, coffee, moist soil and minerals. Taste is tiny bitter with roasted malts, mouldy dark bread, moist soil, moist hay and minerals. Mouthfeel is slightly dry, watery and light bodied. Finish is bitter with roasted malts, dark bread, coffee, moist soil, minerals and hints of mould. Has a mouldy quality to it that’s quite unpleasant. Lose that and this would be a solid light roast sessinable stout.
