[9/29/14] Draught at Arendsnest in Amsterdam. Dark brown. Aroma of malt, caramel, a bit of roast, licorice and some hops. Sweetish flavor, malty, with licorice, caramel, a mild roasty touch, some hops and a bitterish finish. Medium-bodied.

Brown ale, with some earthy hopping. Quite malty as well, with some modest bitterness and even a bit sourness.

Tap at Arendsnest. Pours reddish brown, mahagony with a small head. Aroma is sweet, cow candy ("lehmakomm"), caramel - but also fruity. Light floral hops. Taste is slightly bitter at first, then goes over into deep fruitiness. Aftertaste is dry, full of tannins. I liked it.

On tap at Arendsnest. I’d classify this as a Brown Ale btw. Brown colour, light-beige head. Aroma of caramel, sweet toasted nuts, toast, quite malty, light hoppy. Flavour is sweet, malty, caramel, toast, light hoppy and nutty bitter finish. Oily mouthfeel, light-bodied. Decent beer.

Tap at the Arendsnest, Amsterdam. Poured a clear dark amber with a thin broken white head and lots of broken lace. The aroma is big yeast malt resin hop caramel toffee. The flavour is medium to weak bitter with a malty wood hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with light carbonation.
