Cask at the Euston tap. Aroma is nice lemon surbert. Flavour is pine needles, fresh lemon, slight sweet caramel sugars. Palate is full and creamy with average carbonation and some residual sweetness. Lingering smooth roast and pine hop. Clouded dark brown pour with thick creamy cream coloured head. Good lacing.

Bottle at the Night of Garbage, which I picked up from the Euston Tap, 20/12/13 up a shit load of stairs ! Murky dark mahogony brown with a thin light tan covering that reduces to spotting and edgework. Nose is light roast, smoke, dark berry fruits, bitter tropicals, light pine. Taste comprises light roast, earthy notes, jammy brerry fruits, touch of grapefruit, pine bite. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry grassy bitterness and dank hops in the finish. An OK CDA decent enough first stab at the style, most boxes ticked!

Bottle shared at the Night of Garbage, thanks to Colin. It pours darkest brown with a bubbly beige head. The nose is bitter-sweet, aniseed, wood, ash, light citrus and brown sugar. The taste is bitter-sweet, liquorice, varnish, smooth roast, caramel, chocolate, toast, light spice and decent bitterness with a very dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. A solid CDA and good start to this new brewery.

The (not so) shit beer tasting at Leightons stratospheric flat. Almost clear dark brown beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Palate is light and dry. Very light touch of dark malts. Light roast. Mellow piney hops, very light citrus. Light dry finish. Little dark malt lingers on. A bit wishy washy but fine.

Bottle shared at the Night of Garbage - big thanks to Colin for this scoop. Pours clear brown with a frothy tan cap. The nose holds dirt, roasted malts, mild grapefruit. Light to medium sweet flavor with juicy citrus, oily pine, charred malts earth. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Resinous finish, oily toasted pine, grapefruit rind, a bit of toasty bread and ash. Not bad.
