Dark brown with a thin head. Aroma leans chocolatey. Flavour as well, it has lots of body but not much bitterness. For me it needs more but the body and malt are fine, it's just a balance preference issue rather than anything wrong with the execution.

Pours slightly hazy very dark ruby with small off-white head. Clear aroma of coffee and malt. Bitter and roasty taste, with notes of coffee, malt, and dark chocolate. Sweetish aftertaste with roasty overtones. OK but quite like so many other American porters from th South.
