This award-winning ale (Dales Food Festival 2013) uses a hop back to create an extremely well balanced beer, filled with the taste of fruit, together with a complementary slight bitterness. Its bright, golden appearance is combined with its hops.

On cask @ Uxbridge Arms, Chasetown - Straw coloured body with white head. A bit doughy on the nose, yeast and malt in there with a fragrant floral hop in the back. Somewhat thinnish on the palate, and a bit dull. Nothing special, but a good one to break up the dark beers.

Cask at the Sussex Arms, Twickenham Green - 07/09/12. Clear blonde with a thin white head that soon dissipates to a swirl which then moves to the edge of the glass. Pale malt nose, orchard fruit and muted hops on the nose. Medium sweet taste, apple, light caramel. Medium nodied with moderate carbonation levels leading to a slightly bitter and dry finish. File under ’W’ for whelmed!
