50cl can, Norski tasting, Vaasa. Light goldeny color with a thin white head. Very spicy, lavendel and coriander dominates. Very spicy indeed. Sweet as well unfortunately. Watery spicy brew. Lacks drinkability.

Can, enjoyed 9 months before bbd. Pours clear yellow, with a short lived, fizzy head. Sweet fruity notes, with apples and metallic minerals. No resemblance to wit whatsoever. Mostly strange. But a bit weird as well. Probably.

330 ml bottle. Clear golden body with a nice fluffy white head. Weak aroma, hint of grain, fruity yeast and spices. Flavor is a big disappointment, not really bad but honestly closer to a regular pilsner than witbier. Light grainy, only a hint of fruit and practically missing everything expected from a Belgium wit. Totally drinkable, but this was supposed to accomplishment my dinner as a wit, and it did not work at all. A totally miss on the style.

Bottle. It pours a crystal clear golden body under a dense, finger-thick white head. Most definitely doesn’t look like a witbier. The aroma has some Belgian style scents like candysugar and cellar, with a touch of coriander and other spices. Some citrus, especially orange, Pale malts notes and a touch of hay. It’s medium bodied and quite heavily carbonated, mostly dry. Pale malts, coriander, wheat, orange and a little bitterness in the flavor. Some cellar and candysugar as well. Quite fruity, especially in the finish. Nothing impressive going on here, at least it’s not much of a Witbier, but as a Belgian style blonde ale it’s fine. Not sure how to score it though, guess that failing to make a wit will influence a bit, but I’ll try to rate it like a Belgian ale style beer. 140724

Small white head. Clear pale yellow body with strongish carbonation. Fruity strawy aroma with wheaty notes. Dry strawy earthy mealy taste with fruity coriander notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, smooth mouthfeel. Dryish mealy wheaty fruity aftertaste with lavender and coriander notes. I don’t know. It’s kind of closed and faintly artificial. There are some good flavours, but together with the rest it just feels wrong. (0.33l bottle, Meny Vika, Oslo.)

Bottle at home. The colour is clear straw with a medium, off-white head. Spice in a sweet aroma along with lemon, hay and Belgian yeast. The flavour is more strange with soap, spices and has a strange bitterness in the end. Has a slick mouth feel, and a light bitterness. A strange wit. The aroma is okay but the taste is weird.
