Apples and ale get hitched to cosmic effect. Improbable concoction, fairytale ending. Aromahopery with crunch.

Thanks to Craig for passing this beer onto me. Had this in bottle at home Sunday 17th August 2014 Pours gold with a thin white head. Certainly appley, sweet apples in particular, it sort of tastes like a beer/cider combination thats been aimed at kids the appleyness as mentioned is too sweet, the beery side is more lagery with a mineral flinty edge and lagery bitterness, suffice to say great label aside I’m not a fan. Keg at Drygate. It pours clear golden-amber with a tiny white head. The nose is sweet apple, candy, tinned fruit and apple tango. The taste is sweet apple, apple juice from concentrate, candy, artificial feel, dried pear, grainy, light spice and white sugar with a short finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Doesn’t work for me at all too sweet and one-dimensional.

Clear golden beer with a thin head. Scent is almost non existent. Flavour is hop with subtle but pleasing apple. Very crisp and refreshing and would be perfect in a sunny beer garden.

Bottle from Drinkmonger. Hazy golden body with a fluffy white head that quickly fades. Low carbonation. Faint lacing marks. Aroma of apple juice and grapefruit. Flavour of sour apples, lemony hops and a faint caramel and cinnamon finish. Improves as it warms (or maybe I’m just getting used to the sharpness?) Thin body with a watery texture. Soft carbonation prickle. Does what it says on the tin - a blend of ale and apple. An interesting experiment but not one I’m overly keen to try again.
