19/6/2018. Can in Leipzig courtesy of Travlr, thank you Gene for my region #117. Pours hazy golden with a small foamy off-white head. Aroma of citrus, herbs, light spice, yeast, caramel and hay. Moderate sweetness, light sourness and bitters. Moderate body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation. Increasing tartness developing in finish with a little banana too. Fair.

Canned, big thanks Travlr & AndySnow to let me complete US states! Hazy deep golden, mid sized head. Big almondy marzipan aroma. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Fruity with some grass and bread, lots of marzipan. Somewhat metallic finish.

Thanks a bunch to Gene/Travlr to bring this over for the Grand Tasting, much appreciated!Cloudy yellow color, white head. Spicy, yeasty scent. Spicy, fruity taste. Fruity aftertaste. 50cl Can at RBESG 17 Grand Tasting. Pale golden colour, white head. Aroma is yeasty, spicy, sweet, fennel. Flavour is a yeasty sweet mess, nowhere near a classic saison. Light bodied.

(Sample from a 0.355 l can at RBESG 2017 Grand Tasting) The beer poured yellow and cloudy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had spiciness and fruitiness. Palate was light bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, spiciness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was spicy, hoppy and bitter. A nice dry saison.
