Tap at #Marionett, Budapest. Poured a crystal clear medium amber with a thin broken white head. The aroma is sweet malt, alcohol. The flavour is moderate sweet with a smooth rich heart warming alcoholic, light fruit palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. The alcohol is there but well in the background. A superb winter beer.

on tap at Salon Piva, Bratislava. amber quite cloudy color, medium big off-white head. smells very malty, sweetness, light liqueurish, dried fruits, wet hay. full body, quite sweet, molasses, malty sweetness, honey, light glueish, dried fruits. sweet / light boozy finish. overall sweetness hides the alcohol quite well, but just too sweet for my taste. overall decent though.

Jun ’14. A 0.75 l bottle kindly shared by the Slovakian RB crew, thanks! It poured hazy golden body with medium sized head. Fine fruity aroma, peaches, some caramel, touch of alcohol in aroma. Showed some hops, but only a bit of them in unidentifiable direction. Flavor was sweet caramel and sugary, spicy but not smoked like some of the people at the place got, rather peppery or simply dusty. Full, cloying creamy bodied with longer, sweet, too simply sweet finish. Indeed, definitely not good for the style, although I couldn’t say it was really a bad beer.

slightly cloudy golden colour, minimal off-white head; aroma and taste of caramel, intensive alcohol and minimal honey- floral notes; obviously, Belgian strong ale is not Kaltenecker’s style

Bottled 750ml. -Thanks Slovakian crew for bringing this one to Zagreb. Slight cloudy golden coloured, medium sized off-white head, dusty nose with hint of caramel. Some weak spicy notes with touch of alcohol and caramel. Strong sweetness in the finish. Had a chance to buy it myself in Budapest but luckily I’ve changed my mind.

Sampled on June 10, 2014, thanks to Nisse666! Bottle 750 ml.BB 31.12.2016. My score is that os sipping the beer and having a score at it, we were 4 ppl sharing the bottle, poured out plenty and didnät even finish all from my glass. Fun to sip at and think about, not fun for drinking, way to much peat/smoke in it.Cloudy amber color, some yeast particles in it, small off-white head. Sweet, herbal, a bit hoppy scent, some citrus and apricot. Alcohol, sweet, herbal, minty, wood, pine, peat, sausage taste. Peat, yeast aftertaste. Medium to fizzy mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Not very drinkable at all, hence the lower "Overall" score. Not balanced, too big bottle for what’s inside.
