Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up via Cork & Cask. Pours deep brown with a big, frothing tan head. Lightly sweet, subtle funk, dark leathery berries, a little cocoa, earth, light acidity. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. More tangy dark fruits to finish, roast, big funk. Nice depth. Solid.
Hmmm Bret

Bottle from the Wee Vault. Appearance - dark brown to black with a tan head. Nose - roast malts, damp cellar and a very gentle hint of sourness (but not really). Taste - dry and roasty, wet stone and dry yeasty. Palate - light bodied, thin and very dry. Not much in the way of Porter sweetness nor any sourness, that others seem to be getting. Overall - I don't get what the plan was here! But I'll keep trying their beers.

Bottle from the internet. It pours darkest brown with a frothy light tan head. The aroma is musty, funky, zingy, dried citrus, tangy red berry, sour cherry, fruit compote, sherbet, roasted malt and cacao. The taste is firmly dry, earthy roasted malt, touch of bitterness, spicy, dry oak, light tannin, cacao nibs, tobacco, coffee grounds, dried leafs and a touch of liquorice. Finish is dry and roasty. Interesting, plenty of depth. Aroma is standout.
