Bottle 500ml. Dark brown color, steady beige head. Ashy with hints of chocolate in the nose. Light-bodied, even watery. Light cocoa-chocolate flavors, a bit veggie-hoppy tones. Needs more malts.

Bottled (from Systembolaget, Umeå). More or less pitch black colour with a mediumsized brown head. Aroma is toasted and quite malty notes along with some leather, chocolate and mild ashy notes. Flavour is roasted malts, some chocolate, mild nuttiness as well as some slight floral and bitter notes in the finish. Wellbalanced and quite nice.

(500ml bottle from Systembolaget) Pours black. Molasses dark malt, milk chocolate, moderate roast, vanilla, a touch of oxidation. Palate dark malt, light creamy milk chocolate, light roast, a fruity almost banana type fruit note, maybe a little herbal hops. Light body, watery, average carb. Taste is pretty weak, really, it’s fine but uninspiring. Smells a bit better than it tastes, but it’s possible to make a more intense low ABV porter than this by some margin.

Many thanks to Inger for this Easter beer gift from Sweden. The 500ml bottle pours a near clear mahogany coloured body. Fawn-coloured head slowly reduced to a layer. Rings of lace down the glass. Chocolate aroma added by hints of vanilla and earth. Coffee-chocolate taste joined by hints of bread and dark fruits. Leafy hops and roasted malty to the aftertaste. Well balanced. Easy to drink without being watered in any way (Tromsø 01.04.2015).
