Bottle 750ml. w. swing top. [ As Holtens Amber ].Gusher ! Unclear medium orange yellow color with a large, creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, tart, funky, barnyard, dusty grass. Flavour is moderate sweet with a long duration, yeasty, sharp, dusty grass. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20140517]

Bottle. Deep golden colour with an off-white head. Aroma is hop, malt, fruit. Flavour is hop, malt, pine, frui, cooked vegetables. Boring beer.

750ml swing top bottle. Shared by Finn at Rating Session in his apt. 16.06.14. If you want to celebrate and attract some attention, bring a bottle of Holtens Amber, the big bang followed by some smoke will both get you the desired attention and the party started. Pours an orange hazy body with a huge foamy head. The first impression I get from the aroma is lemon scented detergent, then perfume, cheese, vanilla and fruit. I think it tastes a bit perfumed as well, I also tastes of mango chutney, sweet chili and dates. A bit salty(?!) finish.

750ml swing-top bottle, kindly shared by Finn. Opens with a good shot followed by smoke. High, loose, pearl white head dissipating over an unclear apricot coloured body. Aroma of dough and sweet fruits. Rather unbalanced taste of spices, grain and fruits. Short ending. Very foamy, actually soapy, in the mouth. Drinkable, but leaves with a bland impression (rating session, Tromsø 18.06.2014).

Flaske 0,75l fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø Langnes. Delt i godt selskap på Nerstranda 18 Jun 14. Åpner med et kjempesmell. Lys gusjegul. Uklar. Veldig høyt luftig skum med kremtopp. Forsiktig aroma av brøddeig. Smaken er litt krydder med hint av blomster. Prikkende følelse på tunga. Blir litt tørr syrlig etter hvert.

Gylden brun klar med lavt hvitt skum. Nøtter, skinn og noe honninglukt. Lett søt karamell og lynghonning noe humlebitter. Lett, medium kullsyre, kort, noe oljete
