A dense, finger-thick dark beige head over a very dark brown body. Looking clear, and some curtains occur. The aroma has some roasted malts, as well as chocolate, nuts, toast and some vegetal hoppyness. It’s full-bodied and pleasant on the palate, faintly warming, with a nice bitterness. Roasted malts, coffee and treacle notes in the flavor, lasting for a while. A quite pleasant one, well worth a revisit. 140829

Sample at Discretion. Pours deep ruby black with a medium creamy beige head that dissipates slowly leaving nice lacing. Aroma is roasted malts, ashes, and chocolate. Flavor is light plus sweet, light bitter, coffee, mocha actually, ashes. Lighish body, low carbonation, bit of acidity. Pretty nice effort.

Black with red hues. Charcoal nose with old coffee. Has a root beer floor sasparilla and vanilla but the charcoal burnt oak totally detracts from the sweetness. Roast carries on for a while
