Pours clear reddish brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel and chocolate. Taste is light to medium sweet and light bitter with a long caramel and chocolate finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

A clear, chestnut colored beer topped by a dense, light beige head. The aroma has some roasted malts and raisins, but it’s quite weak. Some hoppy notes. It’s medium bodied and soft on the palate, with a pleasant carbonation level. Prunes, some coffee hints and a touch of nuts in the flavor, quite dry, with a nice bitterness towards the end. Quite tasteful this one, but a tad boring. Perhaps it needs some food. 140829
