From the local Metro in Saint Alphonse. Black with a creamy, beige head. Aroma promises licorice, berries, roasted grains. Taste is bitter with licorice sweet undertones. Medium bodied, mild carbonation. Smooth, mildly watery.

jet black pour, big frothy mocha head with good lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, and espresso. Flavor is very malty, loads of roastiness, with a nice subtle espresso finish amongst the bitterness. The oatmeal really lends to the creamy body, and texture. Wicked stout! i should have bought more!

Can sourced from Beer Republic and drunk at home (29/09/2021) New 🇨🇦 brewery ✅ pours black with a beige head. Dark roasted malty with notes of cocoa, ashy charred burnt roast, singed brown sugar, coffee roast, medium plus body, slight hoppy undertones, roasted malty finish. Alright.

Bottle from Chez Ben. Dark mahogany with a huge billowy khaki coloured head that lingers and leaves patchy lace. Nose is coffee, chocolate, wood, vanilla, molasses. light+ sweet milk chocolate and molasses sweetness with a medium coffee bitterness. Mouth is full and creamy with soft carbonation. 8/4/7/4-/15

On tap @Birrifugio Trastevere (Rome). Nera, densa, quasi impenetrabile, schiuma avorio media, discretamente persistente. Al naso note di caffè, cioccolato, leggera vaniglia. In bocca è mediamente dolce leggero amaro finale, caffettosa. Corpo esile, leggermente watery, carbonazione media. Un po' timida.
