Gravity cask at the 2017 Hinckley Beer Festival. Black with a light film of white head. Liquorice, pine needles, plum and chocolate. Bitter chalky taste with a sweet/sour fruity note. Body is a bit thin and flat, unfortunately. Still, it's an incredibly nuanced drink, bringing out the best of the style.

Cask during the RBESG 2014 London Sunday Tasting - Craft Beer Co. Clerkenwell. Pours clear, rich brown with a frothy off-white head. The aroma holds melon, lightly toasted malts and rindy citrus. Medium sweet flavor with some further toasted malts, orange rind, earth. Light to medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly resinous on the finish with yet more toasty bread, pine. Not bad.
