Bottle pour at the RB DC sendoff meetup. Poured a pitch black color, or at least close enough to it. Small off-white head. Aroma was roasted malts, chocolate, pecans. Flavor was roasted malt, chocolate, and lots of roasted pecans.

16.9 oz bottle sent to me for 2022 Secret Santa by Nimbleprop. The pour is an opaque brown, touch of golden, with a thin light tan head. The aroma is big caramel malt, dried fruit sweet, and gentle pecan nut. The taste is big on stone fruit, soft sweetness, the caramel, the pecan and picks up a fair bit of the whiskey from the barrels (which hadn't been as present in the nose). The palate is medium to heavier bodied, soft carbonation and a slick, alcohol warming finish. Big beer for sure. Thanks, Andrew!

On tap at the 1 year anniversary party. Funny. It'd a different color than the vanilla. Murky caramel brown, translucent. A ring of head. Nose has caramel and dried cherries and praline. There is a vinous note that reads port and carries through to the flavor. Flavor has tootsie roll and carob and more spice and whiskey. Slick finish and a touch boozy. 8 3 8 3 14
