On tap @ Kick. Black body with a medium sized, dense mocha coffee type head. Nice, strong aroma of dark malt, coffee, dark chocolate and cocoa. Flavor is roasted, dark malt, medium sweet, dry fruit, dark chocolate and cocoa with medium bitterness. First sips gives a slightly “paper dry” impression that becomes better and rather cocoa like dry after a while. Fine body and long aftertaste. Not bad at all, but not fantastic either.

On tap at Crowbar. It’s an almost black one, topped by a small, light tan head leaving some curtains. There’s a faint smoke note on the nose, with roasted malts, licorice, some chocolate and coffee, and a whiff of alcohol. It’s bitter and sweet in the flavor, lots of licorice blends in with the roasted malts. Coffee, chocolate, herbal notes and some higher alcohols. Full-bodied, nicely carbonation. Lasting finish. Sure a nice beer this one, but perhaps a tad intense... in a way. 140503

Draught at KØ14. The aroma is very grassy. Black colour. Small stable brown head. The flavour is nicely hoppy, grassy and clean. Roasted, but the focus is on the hops.
