750 ml corked and caged bottle purchased at Martin City Pizza and Tap in Kansas City, Missouri. Bottled 03/31/15. The pour is a golden orange ruby, mostly clear, with a one inch light tan head that falls quick with large bubbles. The aroma is cinnamon, floral yeast, red wine and a soft pleasant brandy character. The taste is apple brandy up front, along with wood, red wine, mineral and finishing with the floral yeast notes. Initially the flavors were a bit rough and disjointed, though they smoothed out and integrated some as the beer warmed. A bit of funk and tart is introduced as the beer hits room temperature. The palate is medium bodied, lower carbonation and mouth coating. Wood, light tart and brandy in the finish. Solid.
