Several glasses from a growler filled 30 minutes previously at Martin City Brewing Company Pizza & Tap in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is a dark black brown, opaque, with a one inch light khaki head that falls with pretty lacing. The aroma is soft roast malt, along with a bit of vanilla sweet. The taste is the roast, which is a bit ashy along with a bit of malt sweetness, though this is minimal and in the back. The palate is light to medium bodied, active fine carbonation and the dry mineral roast finish. Super drinkable, nicely done.
