Muddy orange. Not much head. Dried fruits, herbs and wood in aroma. Fine taste, and lots of dried fruits and dessert wine in aftertaste. Still lots of oak. Oily mouthfeel.

500 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 12.5%. Amber to brown colour, huge off-white head. Strong aroma of fruity and piney American hops, oak and malts, hints of dark dried fruits too. Warming mouthfeel. Dominantly malty and oaky flavour, again with hints of dark dried fruits, but still with enough hops to make the beer fairly balanced. Some sweetness of course, but not revolting. Pleasant to drink.

Bottle, at Kristiansand Ølfestival. An unclear amber colored beer topped by a dense fingerthick light beige head that lasts. The aroma is on the malty side, with caramel, bread notes and a touch of nuts. Flour notes and some piney, citrusy hops. The flavor has a nice bitterness towards the end, with the same malty caramel and bread notes as in the aroma. Pine cones, resins and some citrusy hops too. It’s full-bodied and with a nice carbonation level. Sure a nice one, one of the most interesting Coisbo beers I’ve had. 140823
