Draught at Taphouse, Cph. Steady, filmy layer to a black coloured body with a deep ruby shade. Roasted dark malty smell, herbal dry. Chocolate, nut and coffee flavours. Bready malt to the ending sustained by a nice roastiness. Medium bodied. Fine interpretation of the style (Copenhagen 04.05.2014).

From tap. Pours hazy brown, golden orange glare. Small off white head. Sweet malty. Mild phenolic. Caramelish and roasted. Light bitter and toasted malty. Light caramelish. Sweet malty into the finish.

Draught @ Taphouse, CPH. Pours dark brown with a offwhite head, lacings. Aroma and flavor of roasted malts, notes of bread, coffee, grain. Thin to medium body, average carbonation. Not bad, just very boring. 020514

Bottle from Vinoble, Dalum. Dark brown with a lasting off-white head. Malty aroma with roasted notes of licorice, coffee and toasted bread, with a spicy, hoppy note. Sweetish malty flavour, roasted with a nice hop character and bitterness. A well balanced and easy drinkable beer, with more character than many German and Czech black lagers
