Een zware jongen deze Quadrupel met z’n 10% alcohol. De volle, verwarmende en intense smaak is moutig met lichtzoete tonen van rozijnen, vijgen en karamel. Gebrouwen volgens een eeuwenoude kloostertraditie met graan en hop uit de streek en met het zuiverste water. En vooral geen haast, het bier krijgt bij ons echt de tijd en aandacht die het nodig heeft. En dat proef je.

Bottle 33cl. from the brewery @home poured into a chalice. Cloudy deep amber colour, small frothy beige head, mostly diminishing, some lacing. Aroma roasted malt, caramel toffee, liquorice, figs, alcohol, candy sugar. Complex taste, light light heavy sweet and medium bitter, malty, liquorice, figs, raisins, toffee, dried plum, chocolate, alcohol. Full-bodied, oily to syrupy texture, soft carbonation, sweetbitter aftertaste, some rough edges, raspy feel, syrupy, good.
