Clear amber beer with a strong scent and taste of orange. Does exactly what it says on the tin! Quite balanced for all that though.

330ml bottle from Morrisons. An attractive copper colour with a cream head; some fresh orange juice and malt aromas; and a similar taste; followed by a spicy warmth and some lingering marmalade. Pleasant, but I didn’t really pick up the barley.

Bottle shared at Chrisso’s May 2014 tasting 25/05/2014. Thanks to Leighton for this one. Aroma is big fresh spicy orangte peel, fanta, pretty artificial like most of the Bateman’s beers. Clear bright orange coloured pour with a loose white head. Flavour is harsh orange citrus acid, choc orange and cream soda. Palate is medium bodied with highish carbonation. Lacks any sort of substance.

330ml bottle from Morrisons - Deep amber body, thin white head. Nose is very much like a barley sugar sweet, with a little bit of sweet citrus lurking. Taste comes across as very sweet and syrupy, not helped by the syrupy mouthfeel, and again the barley sugar sweet is at the forefront. A bit of oranginess is there, but it is over powered by the cane sugar taste in there. Nice, but not one to repeat in a hurry.

330ml bottle: BBD 31 Mar 2015. Poured into a Coors Banquet badged vase glass at home on 22 Aug 2014. Orange in colour and clear, off white head, with trails of carbonation bubbles rising up through the glass. Sweet orange nose and taste, think thin marmalade liquidised with some malted barley, neat alcohol, a bit of yeast and you’ve got the beer I am currently drinking as I write this. Interesting enough, but a small bottle is about right: I will not be having another.
