Szent András Könnye is a blueberry infused double bock with intensive fruity taste and full malt flavours. The luscious characteristic blueberry flavours gently absorb the low hop bitterness and the highly fruity character balances the sweetness and creamy texture. Great choice for desserts.

0.33l bottle. Dark brown/black body, minimal brown head. Aroma of caramel and tutti-frutti. Taste of bilberry and caramel with a minimal roastyness. Nice one.

330ml bottle from Csak a Jó Sór in Budapest. Almost jet black body. Fading beige head, spotty lacing. Quite inviting smell of blueberries and blackcurrants mixed with dark malts. Berries, semi-tart, together with dark caramel malts resulting in a bit jam-like flavour. Mid-tart ending. Unusual and quite tasty (Cabin at MS Rügen, 03.08.2012).

33cl botle from Csakajosör. BBE 07/2013. Poured dark brown, with a thin white head. Blueberry in aroma, also broth (meat), ripe berries. Flavor has ripe berries, blueberry, alcohol warmth in finish, otherwise alcohol is nicely hidden. Very sweet. Not a fan of fruit beers and this one did not change my mind either.

Bottled 330ml. -Deep black coloured, small beige head that went away fast, blueberry in the nose. Mild roasted malt and coffee taste with blueberry which is totally dominant. Alcohol well hidden, oily finish. Interesting but didn’t impressed me much.

One of ogivlados (thanks!). Poured an opaque dark brown body with a small brownish head. Pungent bilberry nose ending dry, light alcohol. The taste is unique and very interesting, basically a lovely bilberry-like fruitiness fighting with interesting roasty underlying coffee-like body ending with ashy bitterness, but in the end they aren’t mixing that perfectly in my opinion. Hoped it would be better, but it seems to be just slightly overhyped. In any caste, interesting!
