The first release from our new barrel project, a Barrel Aged Imperial Stout.
We first brewed the base beer (Yula) back in October 2023 with Pinta Barrel Brewing. This has been aged in 4 separate Penderyn Whisky Barrels (which were previously used by Laphroaig), blended and finished with Vanilla & Cacao Nibs.

On tap at MBCC 2025 (Green session), pours black with a small tan head. Aroma has plenty of cocoa, a touch of the whiskey, and soft dark malts. Flavour is loaded with smoky whiskey barrels, cocoa, soft malts, and a touch of vanilla. Nice barrel character. Very good.
