Draft at The Great Beer Bar, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. Poured a hazy medium orange amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is light toffee malt, light fruit, resin hop. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet with a smooth, rich, dry toffee caramel malt, fruity, light alcohol, light dry peppermint floral hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

10/I/15 - 33cl bottle @ Cybu's place - BB: 21/V/15 (2015-32) Thanks to Cybu for sharing the bottle!
Little cloudy blond beer, small irregular white creamy head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: bit dirty, "putje" or sulphur, very yeasty, some banana. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: yeasty, banana, pretty bitter, some citrus. Aftertaste: more citrus, bit of exotic fruits, maybe some grapefruit, but basically I would never call this an IPA, doesn't even come near what an IPA's supposed to be, neither the UK nor the US version.

Weisses Nicobar IPA is a White IPA. It pors quite a clear copper gold with a filmy white head. The aroma is wheat, soft cloves with some citrusy hop notes. The flavor is somewhat sharply bitter with cloves, wheat and a sharp bitter edge tinged with cinnamon. Alright.

Bottle. Orange, hazy body, with a big, frothy, white head, that leaves a thick lacing. Aroma of orange, banana, cloves, yeast, grains, citrus, only very slight tropical fruits. Taste with about the same aromas, with a bitterness and some grapefruit dryness. Mouthfeel is medium to light, slick, with a medum carbonation and it finishes medium bitter, acidic, grainy and with some herbs. Not bad. Much more a Hefeweizen than an IPA in my opinion. Only the bitterness and some citric notes reminds me of an IPA, almost no tropical fruit aromas and no pine notes at all. Overall this could be more accomplished, something like a lighter version of the Schneider Weisse "Hopfenweisse". But unfortunately it isn’t, just a slighty above average Weizen with some ordinary hop notes.
