Can at home in the garden, 26th July 2025. Pours a good looking black beer, with a light tan head. Aroma is dark chocolate, citrus pith and roasted malts. Taste is cocoa, roasted malts, citrus peel, bitter, dark chocolate, oranges, herbal notes. Excellent BIPA. Missed this about 18 months ago when J and B Craft Drinks, mucked up more order - picked it up form the same store last week in Amsterdam - last can in the fridge !

Can at the source. Aroma is mild orange and soft roast. Flavor is NOT typical Black IPA. Orange, lemon with mild roasted grains. Bitterness in the form of citrus peel.

Can at the brewery, 5/21/25.
Clear. Dark. Small, beige head slowly to cover.
Some moderate roast rises up with a bit of licorice. Hint of red grapefruit. The Citra and black malt do done weird, but interesting things. Burnt melon? I7 puts some heavy herb/tea in the mix. Black malt not overdone with good base malt depth, no resin or booze.
Orange and chocolate. Light tea with mild herbs. Quite delicate with light licorice and light roast in the background. Excellent body and good attenuation with juicy Citra lingering. Nice to see something other than Columbus, Centennial, Cascade, Chinook, etc...in a black IPA.
