Bottle 2016 vintage at the pre-Pre-Borefts TZT tasting at Kim Jung Un Buurtcentrum, Zd. Hazy golden with white head. Sour grain, massive mint, white grapes, raisans, woodglue, cheesy funk. Strong acidic, moderate sweet underneath and light bitter. Medium body and soft carbonation. --- Beer merged from original tick of Gueuze 2014 (La Reserve Du Picoleur) on 09 Sep 2018 at 00:00 - Score: 7. Original review text: Pre-Pre-Borefts TZT. Hazy ruby/thin offwhite head. Sour & sweet cherries, more grain & funk, almondys, early strawberries. Lovely easy fruity tart sour. Sour compensated with fruity sweetness. Thnx to François ! Packaged in a 33 cl, capped bottle. Pours awefull dark and unclear for a geuze. Dark amber, no sign of foam. Smell is intense, acetobacter, bit glue even. Taste is very sour, tart, acetobacter, earthy, funk, Brett, wood. The taste is better than expected after view and smell. It doesn't reach the level of good, yet, but it's not as terrible as these ratings do show. As a drinking beer that is. Please don't call it a geuze, since à geuze is all about balance, which this one misses completely. Not to mention the ongoing, everlasting terroir and methods discutions. As always, I'm rating this to personal liking, and not to style. If I would, this rating would be much lower.

Pours a cloudy golden-amber colour with a white cap that settles a coating on the brew with decent lacing. Sour aromas with some fruity notes, mild hops that give out plastic hints and some light sugars. Some vinegars too. Some for taste. Actually one of their better ones. Not sure if just had to cellar first.

Golden orange, no head from a 12oz bottle. Smells weird. like an uber-cheese sour with some orange rind and butter. Whoa. holy Hell. toilet water, peppers, cayenne peppers, bark, mulch, old dirt, some lemon and orange. totally flat. WTF?

A hazed golden amber Gueuze with a thin off white head. In aroma, nice fruity malt with Epsom salts, light lactic notes, horse blanket, light varnish, pleasant. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with nice acidity, sour cherries, lactic points, very nice and smooth. Bottle at Mondial 2015.
