Bottle from M&S, Weybridge (it may be Byfleet but I guess Weybridge sounds posher!). Bitter resin aroma. An amber gold. Thin but fluffy white head. Grows in bitterness, but never to any extreme. It’s all a bit one dimensional really. Light to medium bodied. A fizz of carbonation in to the finish. Relatively abrupt finish. Not bad, not particularly interesting either. Polite.

500 ml bottle, from Ales by Mail, ABV is 5.5%, 77 IBU. Malts are pale, caramalt and Vienna, hops are Columbus, Bramling Cross, First Gold and Galaxy. Golden colour, slightly hazy. Moderate white head. Pleasant hoppy aroma, notes of tropical fruits and citrus, hints of pine. The malty base is slightly sweet, but this is first and foremost a hopdriven ale, with grapefruit, pine needles and resin, also hints of tropical fruits, and a solid bitterness in the finish and aftertaste. This is an IPA in my book.

Bottle 50 cl. Hazy golden with a lacing, white head. Nose has some deep fruit and a little caramel. Medium body, very fruity, somewhat spicy with a solid, late bitterness. Not bad but I much preferred the one simply called Pale Ale. 121016

Bottle. M&S. Hazy, light amber. Thin, dense, sticky, lasting, white head. Looks good. Nose has fruity, tinned strawberry hop. Ginger biscuit malts. Some lemon tang. Taste is light, pithy bitter. Soft, biscuit sweetness. Smooth, hop oily mouthfeel. Long, light, pithy bitter finish. Good stuff.

Bottled 500ml (AbM, BB 11/2016, bottled 170915)
Clear amber color, small white head. Overriped pineapple, rye and resin aroma. Light to medium-bodied. Tropical fruits - pineapple, kiwi, peach. Also some resin and citrus. Same time a bit harsh, ryeish flavor. Restless overall. Not so fresh anymore, but has potential when fresh.

Bottle from M&S Westfield Stratford. Clear amber colour thick lasting white head. Hoppy slightly oxidised aroma. Hoppy no doubt, big kick of hops, decent condition, there is something a bit like oxidised metal hops, but it’s still a decent beer. A little bit of pukey malt. There are elements that are good and some are not so good. Ultimately I wouldn’t drink this again.
