A big bold Imperial IPA! The clean malt plays a supporting roll to the straight up Simcoe hops through and through that give this varietal hop bomb its bang!

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a dark caramel color with a large foamy orange-white head that left excellent lacing. The aroma was bitter and tangy with fruity hops, cactus, pine and pepper. The flavor was bitter, tart and dryish with cactus, pine and lemon then a sweet caramel undertone. Long hoppy finish. Moderately full bodied and smooth. Decent

Bottle thanks to JSquire, drunk 8/29/16.
Good clarity in this tangerine-golden body with a medium-sized, fairly well-retained, white head.
Big fruity, citric, punchy and aggressive nose has plentiful cherry, strawberry, ruby red grapefruit and very light pineapple. Sweet caramel malts balance, somewhat, but there’s certainly some resin and booze present here.
As with their other IPAs, it’s flavorful as hell, with big bursts of fruitiness, strong citrus and tangy pine and soft, balancing honey-caramel-like malts. Engaging carbonation and lingering pine, grapefruit and light sour-like resin. I like a lot of these flavors, but there’s just too much resin/acidity here and it fatigues the palate rather quickly.

Bottle thanks to Jsquire. Pours clear rich yellow with small off-white foamy head, faint grassy hops aroma, medium carbonation, slightly sweet hoppy taste, long hoppy finish. Very nice IPA with smooth mouthfeel despite the high alcohol content.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours lightly hazy bright orange color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, apricot, lemon zest, orange peel, light pine, light caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/tropical hops and moderate malt notes; with good strength. Taste of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, apricot, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, light caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Good amount of pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, apricot, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, light caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical/piney hops and moderate malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, sticky, and lightly creamy mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a light warming lingering after the finish. Overall this is an excellent DIPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical/piney hops and moderate malt flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering

Bottle @ home, thanks to michcam8 for sending. Pours a touch hazy bright orange appearance with an off white head. Aroma is a little spicy and creamy with lots of passion fruit, grapefruit, and oranges. Medium body. A touch boozy. Flavors of candy, tropical fruit, spicy hops, and pineapple. Fine.

Bottle. Orange caramel malt and pine/grapefruit peel aroma. Golden yellow with moderate head. Sweet orange toffee malt and moderately strong bitter grapefruit peel/pine flavor. Nice balance between the hops and malt without being too sweet. Very nice.

Rating from very old notes - Pours cooper with a small lasting head. Citrus hop aroma. The flavor is straight up bitter with some citrus and herbal tones. It’s medium to full bodied and a very solid brew.
