Bottle. Very dark brown with medium beige head. Aroma is roasted chocolate, chocolate, little vanilla, little liquorice and a little coffee. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, liquorice, little vanilla, sweet, little sticky, warming, notes of alcohol, hop and a little bitter.

Bottle @ Christers. Pours black with a small light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, light vanilla, light coffee notes, little fruit. Flavor is malty, caramel, coffee, vanilla, some fruity notes, some alcohol. Medium body, lively carbonation, light sweet finish with some warming alcohol. 240914

Black color with an off-white head with medium duration. Aroma has notes of toasted malts, some dry fruits and sweet notes. Flavor is slightly sweet, coffee notes, toffee and some caramelish hints. The final is slightly sweet, smooth and creamy on palate.

Bottle 500ml. [ As Midtfyns Bryghus Imperial Stout Valnød ].Clear dark black brown color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, walnut, light earthy. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, chocolate, walnut, sweet malt, light roasted. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20140416]

50 cL bottle. Pours pitch black to brown with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty and breadish. Roasted malty and roasted. Liqourice and breadish. Bitter and roasted malty lingering dry malty finish. Smooth roasted finish.

Black with a small tan head. Aroma of sweet licorice and caramel with some honey and alcohol. Sweet licorice and roasted malt flavour with a touch of alcohol. A hint of wood, but little walnut except perhaps a perfumed hint of the leaves in the aftertaste.
