La Vie en Rose is a farmhouse ale re-fermented on the raspberries from Jester King Atrial Rubicite. The ratio of fruit to beer is very high for Atrial Rubicite (6 pounds per gallon), so La Vie en Rose has a lot of fruit character even though it's from the second re-fermentation of the raspberries. It's unfiltered, unpasteurized, and naturally conditioned.

Pink and opaque, not much head. Lots of raspberries. Tart, yeasty, lots of berry. Good brew, not revolutionary but solid.

(Draught at BrewDog Camden, London, 24 Nov 2022) Hazy red colour with brief head. Fruity, sourish nose with notes of raspberries, black-currant and lemon. Fruity, tart taste with raspberries, black-currant, lingonberries, lemon and a dry finish with a good acidity. A mild tart bitterness in the background. Medium body, dry. Tasty and well made with a fresh acidity and lots of red berries. Great beer!

Batch 6. A murky pink mauve ale with a thick frothy pinkish head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with tart mix of ground cherry, light lactic notes, Epsom salts, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with light tart cherries, lactic acid, light cork, Epsom salts, very nice. On tap at Brewdog Liverpool. Freebie since the Keg kicked.

Keg at Brewdog Reading. Pinky-red with a pinkish head and a middling fizz. Raspberry, balsamic vinegar, sour cherries, vanilla and a light woody note. Raspberry pip and creosote aftertaste. Quite tart and vinegary at first but grew on me as I drank more. Yeah, not bad. And a new region to boot (can't believe I hadn't had Texas until now!).
