[Cask at the Counting House (JDW), Glasgow at 4.4% ABV.] A chestnut coloured pour with a dense beige head; nutty caramel aroma; smooth and unctuous in the mouth, coating the tongue with a malty caramel taste; then a clean tart fruity finish leaving a dry salty feeling on the lips. A very nice Porter.

Pendle Beer Festival 2016. Black in colour with a healthy stated roasted malt aroma and taste, but still clearly a porter in texture.

Gravity cask at the London Drinker BF 2014. Pours clear, rich brown with a frothy, beige head. The aroma holds lightly burnt malts and leathery dark fruits. Light sweet flavor with earthy bitterness, burn wood, toasted grass, more leathery fruits and dark bread. Medium bodied with fine carbonation; alright condition. Decent balance to finish with more well toated and almost burnt malts, dry and leathery fruits, berries, some chalky cocoa and moderate earthy bitterness. OK overall.

Dark brown, light caramel and a dash if roast. Light body w a fair bit of acidity and plummy, blackcurrant fruitiness. Not the first porter called Sherpa I’ve had.
