Brekeriet Breidur is a fruit beer mainly fermented with Brettanomyces yeast. Mango and apples are added during the secondary fermentation and this yeast loves fruit which is shown in the fantastic taste of the beer. Brekeriet Breidur is refermented in the bottle which gives a thin layer of yeast at the bottom of the bottle.

Bottle shared at a Sour/Wild tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks fonefan for this bottle. Slightly hazy golden with a white head. Fresh funky and fruity aroma with some cider notes. Sourish and funky flavor with a grainy touch, apples and a citric note. Medium-bodied. Refreshing.

Bottle shared at the chriso 2013 pre-GBBF shindig - London. Pours hazy yellow-gold with a light, white foam head. Funky nose with dank apple notes. Light sweet flavor, definitely dank and funky, with some dried out tropical fruits. Light bodied with average to lively carbonation. More dry tropical fruits to finish and moderately dusty brett. OK.

33 cl bottle @ wPBF’14
Aroma is a bit musty with citrus and bretta. Flavour has citrus, some rather bitter lemon notes and grapefruit. A bit too foamy palate. Decent.
