On tap at Beva, pours a dark brown with a small off-white head. Aroma is dominated by earthy, toasted malt, and a bit of crusty rye bread. Flavour is fairly timid, tasting more like a dunkel than a schwarz, with a timid malt base… just some toasted notes, not much else. Clean and drinkable, but nothing special.

Poured from 473mL can. Near black with foamy light tan head. Gentle roast and toasted malt with mild chocolate notes. Nicely balanced. With this and FW Europa coming out recently, Vancouver has some nice schwarzbiers.
