10 year old bottle for the Alvinne 20th birthday. Dull brown. Very sour, soft cherries, not much malts left, light earthy and soft caramel. Very sour and a bit thin. Maybe too old but not too bad.

Backlog March 2019. Clear amber body with a tan head. Nice acidic aroma with caramel and red fruit. Taste is rather acidic with vinegar, malt and red fruit/berries. Fine body and long lasting, tart, acidic aftertaste. Nice but rather acidic.

Bottle from Pede, St-Lievens-Houtem. Vintage 2016. Dark red colour, white foam. Nose of cherries, balsamic vinegar, wood. Taste is extremely tart, fruity, lots of cherries. A bit too sour and acetic.

330 ml bottle, vintage 2016, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6%. Very dark reddish brown colour, nearly black. Small off-white to beige head. Nice aroma of red wine, cherries, balsamic vinegar and oak. Low carbonation. Sour flavour with the same elements as the aroma, lots of acid and oaky tannins. Not a favourite of mine - Alvinne remains as Belgium's most overrated brewery.

Bottle. Ruby red color. Cherry and a hint of marzipan in the aroma. Cellar notes. Moderately sour flavor with cherry juice and lemon, prolonged in the aftertaste. Nice!

From tap. Dark reddish brown color with pinkish head. Aroma is tart cherries, vinegar, and wood. Light sweet and heavy acidic taste. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.
