From tap at Mi2 at Cardinal 26.10.15. Very dark brown. Pale brown head. Wild yeast sourness and plums in aroma. Similar and fruity taste. Perhaps some medum dark malt. Very dry. Astringent, dry aftertaste.

On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Black colour, moderate tan head. Strong aroma of new American oak with its vanilla notes, also hints of chocolate. Fairly light bodied and easy drinking for its strength, again wih strong notes of American oak and vanilla in the flavour, also some fruit and chocolate. Moderate hops. Slightly warming throatfeel.

Uncommon Brewery Oaked Porter 9% can shared by Brian. Deep brown verging on black with a rich fruity licorice/aniseed aroma. The taste is very much a berry fruitiness with chocolate cacao notes. Really nice.

On tap @ Øltorget, Vulkan May 2014. Pich black body with a small, long lasting, dense, brown head. Strong and nice aroma of roasted malt, coffee, alcohol and some perfume. Very nice. Quite strong in flavor as well, dark, roasted malt, liquorice, chocolate, dry fruit, oak, good bitterness and warming alcohol, slightly perfumed. Full body and long aftertaste. Nice, strong and robust beer. Perfect for my hangover breakfast.

On tap at Øltorget, Vulkan. Looking pretty cute this one, next to black in color and with a finger-thick, dense, beige head. It’s vinous and lightly roasted on the nose, with dark dried fruits. Some nice sourness on the palate, a faint hint of vinegar, roasted malts and some licorice and acidity. Full body, nice carbonation level and some alcohol warmth on the palate. The finish is roasted and sourish, quite vinous. Lacking a bit on complexity this one, but sure a fine brew. 140503
