Over 8 years since it was bottled, let’s see what’s occurring. Pours oily, deep brown, near black, with a mellow whiskey aroma and a hint of vanilla. Tastes boozy, with a rich fruitcake taste on top of a roasted malt backbone, and some smoked wood apparent. The mouthfeel is thickish, thin oil-like, and there’s a touch of dry bitterness in the finish

Bottle at Chriso going Dutch tasting, 03/07/14. Extremely dark mahogany brown/light black with a moderate tan covering that dissipates to edgeing and a swirl. Nose is light roast, hoppy citric leanings, liqourice, herbal rinse, aniseed, light BA Jack effect. Taste comprises light cocoa powder, mellow dark fruit, dark maltings, toffee fudge, spice, JD tones evident. Medium body, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok BA impy, fairly simple stuff but tasty and drinkable.

Bottle at Craig on heat tasting. Subtle barrel aged. Chocolate glue. Ok drinkable in mouth not sure the barrel ageing adds anything both elements wander around in a desolate way. Ok ish.
